Bread is not toasted. You can have fresh bread as such.
A basic dal curry made with just a few ingredients tastes excellent with soft milk bread.
Dal curry
Ingredients:
Moong dal (Pasiparuppu) - 1/3 cup
Dry Chilies - 2 or 3
Onion medium-sized (2 or 3)
Tomato - 2 nos (finely sliced)
Oil - 2 tsp
Asafoetida
Asafoetida
Turmeric powder
Salt
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
In a kadai, add oil, then add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
Add dry chilies, asafoetida, and onion.
Once onion turns to light brown color, add tomatoes.
Then add salt, turmeric powder and cook until tomatoes cook softly.
Add some water and boil for a minute.
Then add cooked and mashed moong dal.
Stir thoroughly and allow it to boil for a minute.
Transfer it to a vessel and add curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Dal curry is ready.
